Cancellation Policy
My cancellation policy is:
If you need to cancel a tutoring session, I need at least 24 hours notice. Otherwise, you will be charged a $30 cancellation fee. If you miss an appointment, you will be charged the full $30 for each hour missed.
This applies equally to people I tutor on a weekly basis as it does to those who I only see occasionally.
My cancellation policy is in place to ensure that as many students as possible can receive tutoring. By reserving a slot and canceling at the last minute, you deprive another student of that slot. The price tag of a last-minute cancellation reflects the cost you impose on my schedule and more importantly, other students.
To cancel or reschedule an appointment:
- Login here
- Select “My Appointments” from the top of the page
- Select “All Upcoming” to show the appointments you’ve scheduled
- Find the appointment you wish to change and select “Cancel” or “Reschedule”
If you have problems using the online appointment scheduler, then email me (jeff@londonmathtutor.com) 24 hours before your appointment and I will cancel it manually.
Since there’s been some confusion about my policy, I made this page to avoid any misunderstandings.
- My cancellation policy applies in all circumstances - whether you have an exam you need to study for, illness or some other problem. There are no exceptions. 24 hours notice is required in all cases.
- If you contact me a few minutes before your appointment to let me know you won’t be there, I’ll still have to charge you.
- Even if you decide you want to reschedule your appointment, but you don’t give me 24 hours notice, I’ll have to charge you.
- If you are feeling sick the day before our appointment, consider canceling your tutoring session since I’ll have to charge you if you end up missing our meeting.
- Do not rely solely on the reminder emails sent out by the schedule! Several students have reported not receiving them and they’re unreliable at best.
If you have any questions or if anything is unclear, please email me (jeff@londonmathtutor.com). Unfortunately, before I had a cancellation policy, I was having several people* not showing up to their scheduled appointments per week. It’s because of these people that I now need to have a cancellation policy. On the flip side, I’ll give you the same courtesy and I’ll never cancel on you with less than 24 hours notice.
*about 10 people each week
