Some Other Options

The hours I normally tutor are:

Sunday: 10am - 3pm
Monday: 9am - 6pm
Tuesday: 9am - 6pm
Wednesday: 9am - 5pm
Thursday: 9am - 5pm

On every day except Sunday, I take a one hour break from 1pm - 2pm (to eat lunch and regain my sanity). I used to make myself available on Fridays, but there really wasn’t enough demand. (In fact, when I began tutoring, I worked some days from 9am - 9pm, but it took a toll on my voice)

Around exam time, I get booked up incredibly quickly. I encourage people to book appointments well in advance to make sure they have time to see me for their test.

Occasionally, you might find there are no appointments available before your test and you’re still stuck on a few concepts. Until now, I usually just tell people to keep checking my schedule - sometimes people cancel their appointments and, when they do, it shows up in my schedule immediately. I don’t keep a waiting list because by the time I find out about a cancellation, the appointment has already been taken by another student (since I tutor from 9am - 5pm, I usually don’t find out about a cancellation until long after it’s happened).

I’ve come up with another option which, I hope, will help some people:

Tutoring outside regular hours

If you want to see me outside of regular hours, I’m willing to meet with you. However, when meeting outside regular hours, I charge double my usual fee. So, the rates are:

$80/hour for one person
$100/hour for two people
$120/hour for three or more people

If you want to do this, we can meet anytime (minimum of one hour) from

Monday to Thursday: 6pm to 8pm
Friday: 9am to 2pm
Sunday: 4pm - 5pm

Send me an email (jeff@londonmathtutor.com) and we can set something up - these times won’t be available through my online schedule. When you email me, make sure you mention that you want tutoring outside my regular hours and that you’re aware of the price increase otherwise I’ll probably assume you want tutoring during regular hours and I’ll say that nothing’s available.
